The Development Council for Buffalo County (DCBC) is pleased to announce the promotion of Amanda Polacek to Director of Strategic Initiatives.
Since joining DCBC in 2025, Polacek has taken on an expanding leadership role in advancing strategic initiatives, strengthening community partnerships, and supporting economic and community development efforts throughout Buffalo County. Her work has included leadership on the Good Life District initiative, coordination of the 2025 NEDA Annual Conference, regional childcare discussions, and numerous collaborative projects involving local governments, businesses, and community organizations.
"Over the past 18 months, Amanda's role has evolved significantly," said Trevor Lee, President of DCBC. "She has demonstrated exceptional professionalism, project leadership, and relationship-building skills."
In her expanded role, Polacek will lead strategic projects, strengthen stakeholder engagement, support business retention and expansion efforts, oversee organizational communications, and help advance initiatives that enhance Buffalo County's economic competitiveness and quality of life.
"I am grateful for the opportunity to continue serving Buffalo County and working alongside so many dedicated partners," said Polacek. "I look forward to building on the momentum we've created together."
