Senator Stan Clouse Receives Excellence in Economic Impact Award

Each year, the Development Council honors outstanding businesses, organizations, and individuals through the Excellence in Economic Impact Awards. These recognitions celebrate those who demonstrate leadership, innovation, and a strong commitment to advancing economic growth and enhancing quality of life throughout Buffalo County.

This year, the Development Council selected Senator Stan Clouse as the 2025-2026 Business Person of the Year.

Senator Stan Clouse has devoted more than two decades to serving Kearney and Buffalo County with steady leadership, vision and an unwavering commitment to his community. He served on the Kearney City Council from 2003 to 2024 and as mayor from 2006 to 2024, helping guide the community through a period of significant growth and opportunity. Throughout his public service, Stan has been a strong supporter of collaboration among local government, businesses and community organizations.

Stan’s commitment extends well beyond elected office. A passionate community volunteer, he has served numerous civic, economic development and service organizations, consistently bringing people together to strengthen the region.

Now representing District 37 in the Nebraska Legislature, Senator Clouse continues to be a strong advocate for Kearney and Buffalo County. His legislative efforts have focused on supporting business innovation and economic growth, protecting health care professionals and first responders, strengthening public safety and promoting responsible government.
